Sous Vide NY Strip Steaks

  • 2 12-oz NY strip steaks
  • 0.5 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 2 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary


1. Season the steaks with the salt and black pepper.

2. Combine the steaks, garlic, olive oil, and rosemary in a sealable bag.

3. Fill the Inner Pot three fifths full with water.

4. Press the Sous Vide Button and then the Program Dial to select the Beef setting. Press the Timer Button and scroll to set the cooking time to 1 hr. Press the Temp Button, scroll to set the cooking temperature to 130° F/54° C, and press the Program Dial to begin the cooking cycle.

5. When the PowerXL Quick Pot reaches the desired temperature, it will beep. Place the bag in the Inner Pot. Place the Glass Lid on the PowerXL Quick Pot.

6. When the steaks are done, transfer them to a cast iron pan on the stove top and sear the steaks over high heat for 2 mins. per side.
